![]() Many places to sit and chill if you want to get away from crowds. There’s walking trails, bars, and a restaurant. Guests have access to the fitness center. There’s free access to kayaks, snorkel gear, towels, and floats. There are hammocks scattered around the island, including 2 hanging over the water. Five of them are pretty social if you get food from the dispenser (US quarters), and the white one is a bit sassy and loves digging up critters in the water. Then around 8am or so, they get to the flamingo beach (adult side) and stay there for the majority of the day. We learned that they enjoy the iguana beach (family side) in the early morning, which is probably their travel route from their main food spot. There’s access to two beaches where one is exclusive for adults and where most of the flamingoes enjoy hanging out. All of the cabanas were booked for my birthday, but after checking it out the second day of our stay, we realized we didn’t need one. You get unlimited access to their private island which would be $100+ if you don’t stay there and it isn’t a guaranteed ticket. Staying at the Renaissance Hotel is definitely worth it. The cabana was pricey.but I felt that it was worth EVERY penny! If you are trying to decide to do it or not. I don't know if they do this every day, but it was AMAZING! There were only about 12 people left on our side and it was so easy to interact with them with not a lot of people around. We stayed ALL the way until sunset and the flamingos decided that they wanted to come to our side of the island. After you are done exploring, there is a fresh water shower attached to your cabana so you can rinse off! It was a relaxing wonderful day! We never saw the iguanas but we dd make it over to the flamingo side to see the beautiful birds! They were awesome. ![]() There are steps from your private cabana down to the water for you to explore. There were children there, but it wasn't distracting at all! We were escorted to our Canbana #4002 and introduced to Donovan our butler for the day (WHO WAS FABULOUS!!!) We were then surprised with some very nice touches that they had prepared for us! The cabana comes with towels, snorkel gear, an over the water hammock, a couch, chair, table, ice chest stocked with water and sparkling wine. ![]() I have heard that sometimes it fills up quickly, but I guess we were lucky! The "Flamingo" side (Adults only) of the island was booked, so I booked on the "Iguana" (Family Friendly) side. I had reserved one online a few weeks prior to our trip. We were staying in Aruba for a week and spent one day on this fabulous little island! It was top notch from the second we stepped onto the boat that escorted us over to the island! Upon arrival, we were greeted at the dock by an cabana assistant that escorted us too our cabana. ![]()
